NEW PICTURES Below 11.10.05 I grew up watching this show..so you know I had to get a picture..we played good morning america w/ jessica simpson, and I moved all the cones to get this picture...they weren't happy about that ! ...this was the first show I played with STEVIE WONDER, at the Apollo in Harlem. this is w/ Willie G. and Lila Downs ! I was playing drums and percussion with Willie and Lila performed after us..Willie co-wrote and recorded on "Ry Cooder's, Chavez Ravine", a very powerful c.d. I had the honor of playing ( w/Willie a few of those songs that night)...Lila's show was amazing..it was great to meet her !! Music Icons here!! (except me, of course ) Flaco Jimenez on the left, and Ry Cooder...by the way, these were not all the same day...I always wear my SV shirt..I do wash it ! I had to convince Charlie Bisharat to do this gig ! We had so much fun..Let's do it again Charlie !! I had the honor of playing with Don Grusin as well... (left to right) Don Grusin, John Menzano,Tariqh Akoni,Charlie Bisharat, Dave Hooper and me...we played in Utah in July.. this is with Charlie and Don after the gig in the lobby of the hotel..nothing was open, so we turned the lobby into a..well, we just hung out til 4 am...once again, the shirt.. la familia !! Erika , Diego and myself were at our dear friends wedding, Monica and Max in Rosarito Beach , Mex. First time Diego wore a suit ! w/ Julietta Venegas at the Latin Grammys .
